Khosla Ventures Invests in PAX Streamline
Supported by a capital investment from Khosla Ventures of Menlo Park, California, PAX Scientific has spun out its newest company, PAX Streamline, as a separate and independent entity. PAX Streamline will focus its patented technology on three market areas: power generation (wind and water turbines); propulsion and propulsion components; and HVAC and refrigeration. Additionally, the company will do exploratory work on other potential product applications, including aerospace.
Founded in 2004, Khosla Ventures offers venture assistance, strategic advice, and capital to entrepreneurs. Vinod Khosla has been labeled the #1 VC by Forbes, and Fortune identified him as one of the nation's most influential ethanol advocates. The firm's capital comes entirely from its own partners; a portion of all profits is donated to charitable causes, with an emphasis on micro-finance, education, and the environment.
