John Webley, CEO, founded and held various executive positions at Advanced Fibre Communications, including VP of Marketing, VP of R&D, and CTO. With his two co-founders, they grew Advanced Fibre to 300 people and a market capitalization of $6 billion. John left to found Turin Networks, an optical networking company. Six years later, when he retired as CEO, Turin was a $50 million business with 250+ employees. John continues as chairman of Turin’s board through their anticipated IPO. Since retiring from Turin, he has been involved in a board capacity with numerous startups, including Red Condor, Clovis, Securetrack, and myJambi.


Jay Harman, co-founder and Chief Inventor, has developed a number of successful companies. As founder and CEO of ERG Australia Ltd, he took the company to a highly lucrative IPO. ERG went on to become one of Australia’s leading technology companies. Jay has extensive experience in technology licensing and is the author of numerous patents. Francesca Bertone, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, has over 20 years of experience in operations, program administration, and education. Before founding PAX Scientific, PAX Streamline’s parent company, she served as director of operations for Tank & Pipe Welding Pty Ltd in Australia. Francesca started her career in the California public school system, serving as a teacher, vice principal, and school board member.


Laura Bertone, Chief Financial Officer, joined the PAX family of companies following 18 years in the banking industry. She is a Chartered Bank Auditor and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors. During her tenure as a corporate auditor with Bank of America, Laura managed the Global Capital Markets/Investment Banking Group, Retail Audit Group, and Development and Training Teams.

 

Michael May, Vice President of Engineering, served as engineering director at Carrier Corporation in both the commercial refrigeration NA and global bus engineering divisions; in each case he was responsible for new product development. At UT Power, he led the automotive cell stack engineering team in developing a new fuel cell power section for Nissan; he also served as engineering business manager.   During his 14 years at Pratt & Whitney, he participated in the development of the F119 and JSF fighter engines. 

 

Carol Marsh, Director of Engineering, brings over 18 years of experience in engineering and management in both R&D and manufacturing. At Agilent Technologies, she ran cross-functional teams in the Wireless Division and led product development in the Lightwave Division. Before Agilent, Carol was a mechanical engineer at Hewlett-Packard in the Lightwave Division, and a marketing engineer and product designer in the Santa Rosa Systems Division. She previously worked for PAX Streamline’s parent company, PAX Scientific.


Kasey Arnold-Ince, Director of Communications, has helped a number of clients define their identity and communicate their message, including IBM, Samsung, Mattel, Stanford's Martin Luther King Papers Project, NASA Moffett/Ames, the Great Place to Work Institute, and the Exploratorium. Previously, Kasey was Communications Manager for Arkenstone, industry leader in assistive technology. She previously worked for PAX Streamline’s parent company, PAX Scientific.
